Master Violin Maker and Restorer

He attented the International Violin-Making School of Cremona (ITA), graduating with full marks in 1985. He refined and improved his knowledge and skills by working at some of the best Atelier (Riccardo Bergonzi, Cremona (ITA); Giancarlo Guicciardi, Modena (ITA); Igor Moroder, Verona (ITA)) and attending workshops, seminars and conventions in Italy and abroad, among which the “7th Stringed Instrument Restoration Workshop”, Oberlin, Ohio (USA), “Vernix 2000”, San Juan, Porto Rico (USA), and the “5th Niccolò Paganini Restoration Workshop-Varnish Retouching”, Parma (ITA).

As pupil of important restorers such as Hans J. Nebel and Vahkn Nigogosian, both pupils of S.F. Sacconi at Rembert Wurlitzer Inc., New York (USA), Horacio Piniero (Director of the Jaque Français Workshop, New York (USA)), Kenneth Meyer, and Yung Ching, Giovanni Lazzaro is appreciated for his personal vision of the Liuthery, that shine through his limited production of custom-made creations, played in the most important concert halls all over the world, beyond his considerable and renowned restoration activity.
